The Royal Oak holds legendary status as it passes its 50th anniversary, and the 26715ST combines the style and complication of a chronograph with the original concept and design of the Genta era, in a piece of exceptional taste and craftsmanship. The model’s deep, richly-toned “Bleu Nuit Nuage 50” Grande Tapisserie dial, with matching counters and luminescent, white gold applied hour-markers and hands for extreme legibility, is cut using a 100-year-old pantograph, a technique unique to Audemars Piguet. This method conjures different shades depending on angle, in keeping with its instantly-recognisable immaculate satin brushed octagonal case and integrated bracelet, which remain unrivalled in the way they play with light and reflect even the smallest amount with a unique beauty. The eye-catching brushed and polished finishing of the original 1972 Royal Oak remains on the Royal Oak Chronographs of today, and with its comfortable and secure AP signature double deployant clasp, the 26715ST feels immensely powerful on the wrist. At 38mm, the watch is sized beautifully for men, but works equally well as a large statement piece for women. A timepiece for all occasions.
Condition Report:
In excellent, unpolished condition, the watch comes complete with its original polished wood box, warranty card and spare link, and remains under Audemars Piguet’s international warranty until 2028.
